Westmoreland Berry Farm

Our 1st country drive was to Westmoreland Berry Farm in Colonial Beach, Virginia. What a cute little place!  And when they say it's in the boonies, they were right.  But what an enjoyable day we had.  The coolest part was this contraption that was made for the goats at the farm.  It is called a "Goat Walk", and after getting out of the truck and seeing it, we were floored.  This walkway, literally, goes up over your head from one side of the road to the other (take a peek at photos) and the goats walk over to get their food that you can buy and send up with a pulley system.  We got to kick back and rock away our worries in old time rocking chairs set up right off the main walkway into the country store.  And let me tell you, they had fresh fruit, homemade pies, jams, jellies, pickled relishes, bloody mary mix and the list goes on.  Did I mention they sold ice cream sundaes with FRESH fruit.  I only wish we took a picture before we dug in.  It was so "yummy"...........So we strolled, watched, wandered, pondered, pigged out and dig a little old fashioned rocking.  What a way to end the day!
