About Me

Meet & Greet: Well, hi y’all and welcome…………….Today, I have decided to begin a new venture. And I believe I owe it all to Sugar Pie Farmhouse’s blog. After feeling a bit “dis-connected” from life and unsatisfied with “things”, I came across Aunt Ruthie’s blog. I realized that everything that she mentioned really hit home for me. It was AS IF I needed to see what other people were writing about and how they were going about their everyday lives to figure out for me that it was those little things are what I have pushed aside to go about doing the everyday living. I realized I have always had “it”, but I lost a piece of me in the process. I guess that old saying is true………..if you don’t use it, you lose it. And boy had I lost it. The old me, which hopefully will now be the “new me again”, used to decorate for all the seasons, be creative and daring with paint, venture out to thrift stores and junk shops and live with passion and excitement for what I may find on my journey. Well, my story will now begin with a new journey, and one that I hope continues to bring me much joy, much anticipation and much LOVE along the way. Let the journey begin. Thanks for reading.

Hopes & Dreams

I'm a mommy and wife. I love the "country life" and everything that takes me back to simplier times like Mayberry. Calgon, take me away! I want an old farm house to remodel and make our own. I love animals, antiquing, crafty, junky stuff, and the creative side of things. I'm a neat freak, stubborn, bull-headed and loving all at the same time. I've been fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom since being laid off in February 2009, and it's been great.
